Make your very own elderberry syrup from home! These DIY kits are a great option if you'd prefer to sweeten your syrup with another type of sweetener or save money! Each kit contains enough ingredients to make roughly 1.5 pints (24oz) of syrup (dependent on how much sweetener you add or how long you simmer). Whatever the reason, each kit will provide you a way to do it on your own and make the space smell amazing!

DIRECTIONS:

Place contents directly in 4 cups of cold water or in a brewers bag (for faster clean up). Heat until the mixture starts to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cover. Simmer for about *45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Filter through a fine mesh or remove bag and squeeze excess liquid. Let cool completely before adding 1/2- 1 cup (to taste) of sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave, etc.). Store in refrigerator in an airtight container for at least 2 months. Can be frozen in small quantities and stored for 6-12 months (best frozen in ice cube trays).

*If simmer time continues, you may end up with less liquid, but thicker consistency.

SUGGESTED USE:

  • Ages 3 Years to Adult: 1 Tablespoon daily for immune support or 4 times daily if symptomatic.
  • Ages 1-3 years: 1 teaspoon daily 4 times daily if symptomatic.
  • Under 1-year-old: Do not consume as honey cannot be digested under 12 months of age.
